Domestic Cleaner

ROLE SUMMARY

Keenan Recruitment is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Cleaner within a Children's Learning Disability Residential Home based in Newry.

This position will be cleaning various areas of the building and assisting the office manager with other tasks. This person will be working in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to work efficiently while also maintaining cleanliness.

KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Floor maintenance duties to include use of vacuum cleaners, buffing and floor scrubbing machines.
• • Cleaning all sanitary areas.

• Cleaning of all furniture/fittings and general dusting duties, low and high level cleaning.

• Removal and rehanging of bed screens, curtains etc.

• Cleaning of walls, windows, glass partitions and other periodic duties as required such as carpet cleaning.

• The collection and removal of waste and replacement of waste sacks, handtowels, soaps, toilet rolls, etc. • Receipt and storage of cleaning materials.

• General securing of buildings. (May include operation of electronic alarm systems).

• Observation of Trust Policies and Procedures relating to Domestic Services as instructed. • Removal and re-changing of bed screens and curtains.

You must be willing to undergo an Access NI Check.

Experience working with children or learning disabilities will be preferred.
