Compliance

We are built on a foundation of compliance, and to ensure the safety of our workers, clients and service users, Keenan Healthcare ensures that no temporary worker is signed off to go out to work until they have completed the mandatory checks detailed below:

Before starting a temporary assignment, you will need to undergo an Enhanced Access NI police check through Keenan Healthcare Ltd, for which a standard £33 fee applies.

All temporary workers placed within the NHS must provide evidence of the following, which should have taken place within the last year:

  • Basic Life Support training
  • Moving and Handling training

Certificates in:

  • Health and safety at work including COSHH and fire safety
  • Infection Control
  • Safeguarding vulnerable groups (Adults and Children)
  • Food hygiene (if applicable)
  • RIDDOR / Risk incident reporting

Immunisation - All temporary workers placed within the NHS:

In order to gain a 'Fit to work certificate' all temporary workers are responsible for providing evidence of immunity to the following:

  • MMR - Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 injections) or a blood test to show immunity to MMR
  • Tuberculosis - BCG scar identified
  • Varicella - Chicken pox can be self-certified or a blood test to show immunity to Varicella
  • Hep B course - Titre levels required (For Healthcare Support Workers only)
