Finance Business Partner

Keenan are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Business Partner, on behalf of the Northern Ireland Fire Service, based in Lisburn.

Main Purpose

To deliver a complete financial management service to specified Directorates within NIFRS and play a key role in the overall financial management of the organisation. 

To oversee the financial governance of specified Directorates, ensuring financial regularity, compliance and value-for-money within a framework of excellent customer service and continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

Have successfully completed the professional examinations and be a full, current member of a CCAB recognised body.

At least two years post-qualification* experience in one or more of the following areas:

• financial planning and budgeting; 
• financial accounting/auditing;
• management accounting and cost analysis;
• investment finance;
• treasury management; and/or
• development / implementation of financial systems.
• Experience of presentation of financial information and advice to Senior Management in a clear and user-friendly manner in support of strategic decision making;
• Experience of ensuring good financial governance, through design, implementation or operational management of a financial governance framework.
• Strong IT skills to include experience using Excel.
• Possess a full, current UK driving licence or have access to a form of transport which enables them to fulfil the full requirements of the job.
