Dietetic Assistant

Keenan Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for Dietetic Assistants for the South Eastern Trust.

Band 3 and Band 4 posts available.

Contracts would be minimum of 22 .5 hours per week up to full time 37.5  -  for a period of 4 months until end March 22.

The offices are based at Lagan Valley Hospital and Ards Hospital for community staff.

Staff would be working in  office base and in  care home locations within either Down/Lisburn area or North Down Ards area.

There is potential for some homeworking on completion of induction and competencies.

Job Summary

The Dietetic Assistant will work under the supervision of the Dietitians in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. The Dietetic Assistant will be involved in the practical aspects of reviewing patients for the Dietitians. The Dietetic Assistant may be involved in the delivery of education and training programmes. The Dietetic Assistant will also undertake some routine administrative and clerical duties as required by the dietetic staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4 GCSE/O levels Grade A-C, or equivalent, including English and Mathematics 
• NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent and 1 year’s paid experience working in a caring environment Or NVQ Level 3 in Care/nutrition, or equivalent/above Or 2 years paid experience working in a caring environment
• Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
• Band 4 posts would require a BSc in Nutrition.
