Probation Support Worker

I am delighted to have secured a new ad-hoc service for Probation Services based in Cookstown and Belfast

You will offer 

• Support, help and advice is offered to all residents entering the Hostel, on a range of issues such as housing, benefits, addictions and employment
• Individual, one-to-one link work sessions
• Group sessions on a range of relevant topics
• The opportunity to participate in both in-house and external training programmes
• The opportunity for residents to further their education in order to facilitate employment
• A range of indoor and outdoor recreation activities

Regular and ad hoc shifts will be available.  Those allocated to the ad hoc list will forward their availability 1 week ahead and will include potential confirmation of shifts same day.  You can update or cancel your availability up to 24hrs in advance.  This will be part of our emergency on call service so shifts will also be confirmed during weekends.   

 Salary

• DAY - £10.20
• NIGHT/ SAT - £13.26
• SUN - £16.32

There is the opportunity to transfer to a permanent contract with this role as full time/part time staff. 

 Criteria:

•  1 years’ experience assisting people with practical support i.e. housing issues, benefits, accessing services.  
• Live on the NISCC register
