Patient/Service User Involvement Officer

We are currently recruiting for two full time Patient/Service User Involvement Officers based in Belfast. Salary £12.74per hour

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Involvement Services Programme Manager, the post holder will develop, organise and deliver the personal and public involvement (PPI) / co-production agenda within their locality and other areas (as required). PPI has been defined as the active participation of patients, clients, service users, carers, community representatives and the public in the delivery of health and social care. It is about giving local people a say in how services as planned, delivered and developed. He/she will be expected to work using their own initiative within the context of objectives agreed with the Involvement Services Programme Manager.

CRITERIA

A university degree or a relevant professional qualification and 1 years’ experience in working with the public in participative practise.

OR

At least 4 years’ experience in working with the public in participative practice.

AND

Previous experience of collating and representing the views of the public with other stakeholders to influence change.
