Corporate Secretariat Manager - band 6

Now recruiting for a Corporate Secretariat Manager (Band 6) in central Belfast.

MAIN FUNCTION OF ROLE / DEPARTMENT

The post-holder will be responsible for the operation of all administrative processes underpinning the Board, its Committees, Senior Management Team and the Local Commissioning Groups.

This will include the provision of a high quality corporate secretariat service, including taking formal minutes of meetings, and adherence to and monitoring of all associated corporate governance requirements.

The post-holder will be required to manage the relevant administrative staff.

Hours of work: 9.00am – 5.00pm – Monday to Friday.

Essential Criteria:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

i)A relevant university degree or a recognised professional

qualification or equivalent qualification and at least 2 years’

experience in the last 5 years in a role involving staff

management, servicing of formal meetings with senior staff

and advising on corporate governance issues

OR

ii)HND/HNC or equivalent (NQF level 5) and at least 3 years’

experience in a role involving staff management, servicing of

formal meetings with senior staff and advising on corporate

governance issues

OR

iii)Worked for at least 5 years in the last 7 years in a role

involving staff management, servicing of formal meetings

with senior staff, including at least 2 years’ experience

servicing formal Board and/or Board Committee meetings

and advising on corporate governance issues

AND

• Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

• Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of corporate governance requirements

• Demonstrate business planning experience

• Demonstrate contribution to delivering objectives which contribute to organisational performance

• Effective planning and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload

• Effective verbal and written communication skills to meet the needs of the post in full, including minute taking and report writing

• Hold a full current driving licence (valid in the UK) and have access to a car at the closing date or have access to a form of transport * which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full
