Team Leader - Supported Living 16-25

We are currently recruiting for a full time (37.5hrs per week) permanent Team Leaders to manage the support of young people aged 16 - 25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or need help maintaining tenancy.  You will work as part of team with shifts to include Waking Nights, Weekends, Bank Holidays and occasional Day Shifts. Typical Working Pattern is subject to change.  Positions available across NI. 

The Service is designed to work on a one to one basis with the young person to 

• Find accommodation
• Set up and maintaining your home
• Give advice and mentor on being a good neighbour
• Managing money and applying for support
• Training, education & job seeking
• Staying safe
• Managing their emotional wellbeing & physical health

We are looking for candidates that are able to build relationships with their staff, young people, providing advice and guidance with empathy.  That have a knowledge of the challenges these young people have faced and will face.  Someone who will work as part of a Team to manage risk and who will advocate and support the young people involved in the programme. You will provide support and supervision to a team of 4 full time and 4 sessional staff promoting best practice.

Criteria

3 years experience of working with young people aged 16-25 in a supported housing or similar environment

Or

Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work or similar

2 years experience of working with young people aged 16-25 in a supported housing or similar environment

Experience of successfully liaising with a variety of agencies

Understanding of young people who have been homeless, have left care or have high support needs

To be resilient and compassionate in a challenging environment

- Driving Licence and Access to a car on appointment.
