Support Worker - Criminal Justice & Rehabilitation

Laura-Lee is currently recruiting for Support Workers for two Hostels specialising in Criminal Justice and Rehabilitation based in Belfast. There are full time, part time and casual opportunities available working as part of a 24-7 shift pattern to include evenings, overnights and weekends.

You will be part of a team to provide support to residents. Duties include:

• Contributing to individual Service User Risk Assessment and Support Plans

• Promoting and encouraging Service User independence providing social and emotional support in developing coping strategies for moving on

• Assessment and signposting for additional services to external agencies, including mental health, housing, education/work, benefits etc.

• Participating and promoting Harm Reduction Intervention protocols

This is a very responsive service and we are looking for dedicated and resilient team members who can work with Service Users and each other to deliver positive outcomes.

Criteria:

• A minimum of 4 GCSE’s (A-C) to include English and Mathematics and/or NVQ Level 4, HND/HNC in Health and Social Care

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience within Social Care in challenging environments, for example, residential care, family support, homeless centres

• Be registered or willing to register with NISCC on application
