Specialist Support Worker - Children's Services (Sexual Violence)

Laura-Lee is working with an established Charity based in Derry-Londonderry to recruit for a part time Specialist Support Worker to provide advocacy and support to children and young people and their families who have been victims of sexual violence including child sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation.

Due to the nature of the role we are seeking a warm, empathetic support worker with a background in children's services with particular experience working with young people who have experienced sexual violence.

Criteria:

Achieved “A” Level standard or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of delivering services to victims of rape/sexual violence and sexual abuse

OR

A minimum of 5 years’ experience of delivering services to victims of rape/sexual violence and sexual abuse

AND (in both instances)

Two years’ experience of working with Children and Young people who have experienced sexual violence.

Hours of Work - 17.5hrs per week (flexible) - Salary £25,000 pro rata - Fixed Term Contract - 36months with possibility of extension.
